Submitting Articles to Article Websites
Article Directories are generally a good thing for generating traffic for your website. However, there are certain guidelines that are applicable to most article websites. here are a fw to consider.
1,/ Use original copy. Copy that is duplicated from other sites or cut and paste will show up to the article websites and is unlikely to be published. Apart from that, search engines like Google delete duplicat copy and tend to only list the ‘original’. So you’ve gone to all that effort ‘ripping off’ someone elses website – but for what?
2./ The Article Title: Don’t try to cram every keyword into the title. Not only does it look ugly, but most sites prefer title lengths to be aboute 50-75 characters long. Also, most systems don’t likeĀ all capital letters, underscores or italicsĀ in your title.
3,/ The Body: The length should ideally be between 300-800 words.
4,/ The Author Name: Try using a Human name. That said, I pubish a lot of material as ‘Lodhailer’ or ‘Toffsworld’.
5./ About the Author: This length varies from system to system, but try to keep it under 250 characters. You canalways ink back to a page on your own website for more detail if necessary.
6./ Keywords: Surprisingly, some article websites do rely a lot on keywords. Keep this section to under 150 characters or the ret will be cut off. Use one or two expressions wil “inverted commas” as some people will search for “entire phrase”.
7./ Links: Some website will accept links but only in the lower half of the body. It is always safer to put a link in your body at the END, otherwise the article may be rejected. The same is true of images. A lot of article websies won’t carry images, so it is better not to attach any.
